What does Time abstract?
Rizal has
been pulled into a dwindling phase of his life, which largely depends on his
choices, and his patience. Patience, or the ability of one to keep oneself in
control in the flow of time, is a jewel. Rizal was optimistic! But was he
capable enough?
Time spares none. There can be nothing more
rubbish than Time heals everything. Firstly, whosoever believes in
this, never really took life seriously. Secondly, time never tries to heal. It
makes you experienced and teaches you how to mould yourself with each changing
phase of life. So is the case with author and Rizal here! If you ask
me who is the best teacher in the entire world, it would be time. It cripples
the crest of every prodigal and raises the mast of every sinking ship. In other
words, it maintains a balance between the givers and the takers, between our
"highs" and "lows", between the successes
and failures.
The
entire nature is based on the principle of balance. Check 1.
Balance
is followed by bliss and often by misery. Check 2.
Time
decides balance. But, it wasn't Rizal's time. Checkmate.
Probably
this is the reason why we say "everything has its own time to
materialize". Probably this is the reason why, howsoever hard we may
try to strive at something, if it isn't the time for the fruit to ripe, IT
WON'T. Rizal must have understood this clearly by now. He must have
also started working on it.
Planning a change, and making
that happen isn't a cake walk. And those who could, have already left their
"footprints on the sands of time".
You need
strength. Mental strength. This is old ideology or "archae-ideology".
New one says, you need mental stamina. How much "mental
attacks" or depressions your mind can endure? (or) How much focus can you
generate from within? Ironically, you find the answer to this
question when you reach your goal. Depressions, or failures are bound
to come. Distractions are an....(though it's hard to admit) integral part of
the journey.
Trust
this. Cause- it's the word from a earlier-distracted-voyager.
And,
between all these, Time is the only thing you need to care about. "Care
about". And I mean it earnestly. This is because time gives you both
distraction and opportunities. You fall for distraction, miss the
opportunity and once you fall, it becomes tough to rise again. You
take time for granted, time takes you for granted.
The latter is pretty serious though!
Time had
brought Rizal back in a circle where he decides to look back in life and learn
lessons from his committed mistakes. Or, simply have a reflection on his life
so far... Time just never lets you underestimate it's power because you are in
a continuous motion with it, or at times in constant agitation, against
it.
The
number of storeys in a skyscraper depends on the depth of foundation. Rizal knew this.
Now the
future rests in his hand, He chooses aptly and sticks to it, he wins. He falls
for wrong doings, he fails (again).
